The Americas Latino Eco Festival (ALEF) is the largest multicultural environmental event of its kind, held annually in Colorado, USA.  This year in its 5th edition, and in collaboration with Celeste Estudio Creativo, we summon filmmakers to participate in the 1st International Latin American Animated Eco Shorts Contest.

THEME: THE WATER

The winning entry will be flown to enver, Colorado to present the winning short animated film.  ALEF will cover up to US$750 for a round trip ticket!

Maximum duration: 30 minutes

Any animation technique is accepted (Pixilation, Traditional, Stopmotion, 2D, 3D, etc.)

SUBMITTING YOUR WORK

The short must be submitted via a high definition YouTube or Vimeo link, enabled for download.

All submissions must contain English subtitles.

Submissions are limited to one short per participant.

DEADLINE

To be considered, works must be submitted by August 5, 2017.

JURY

Memebers of the Board of Celeste Estudio Argentina/Bolivia www.celesteestudio.com, and the Board of Americas for Conservation + the Arts www.americasforconservation.org.

SELECTION AND PRIZES

Up to 10 shorts will be pre-selected, from which the final winner will be chosen.

The winning short will be invited to participate in the Shorts and Activities Inauguration Ceremony of the Fifth Annual Americas Latino Eco Festival (ALEF V), which will take place in Denver, Colorado from September 15 until September 17, 2017. 

All pre-selected shorts will also be shown during the festival, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
