Osvel Hinojosa is the Director of the Water and Wetlands Program at Pronatura Noroeste AC., working to protect and restore the priority rivers and wetlands of Northwestern Mexico. Osvel does research on ornithology, hydrology, restoration ecology, wetland science, conservation biology and public policies for nature conservation. His emphasis is in the Colorado River delta region.​
