Outreach Coordinator
America’s for Conservation + the Arts welcomes Beto as Outreach Coordinator for the Native American Community Development Program. He will be working to build relationships between indigenous communities to further strengthen action against pollution and poverty in the Denver area.

Beto is a life-long member of the Danza Azteca community as a danzante and huehuetero (Drummer). His parents, Enrique Maestas and Lucila Contreras gave him the opportunity to learn traditional ways form many different indigenous communities across Mexico and the United States. Beto and his spouse, Renee, raised a Family and serving the U.S. Navy for eight years, in which he served as an engineer supervisor for nuclear power submarine’s, as well as Sexual Assault Victim Advocate. He is continuing education engineering at DU.
