Nita Gonzales Principal of Nuevo Amanecer, LLC, of Denver, Colorado, is a noted community member, educator, and nationally recognized leader for educational and community justice and equality. As President/CEO of Escuela Tlatelolco Centro de Estudios, a nationally recognized model for Chicano/Mexicano and indigenous education, Nita was the individual primarily responsible for fundraising to provide scholarships for over 8,000 students.

 

Her professional experience ranges from managing program budgets of up to $2,500.000 yearly with responsibility for revenue generation and expenditure decisions to developing and implementing curricula and an educational delivery system for Metro-Denver Chicano/Mexicano/Indigenous students and families.


Gonzales is an experienced Project/Program Manager or Coordinator who can manage from initiation to completion. She can utilize data to make strategic decisions that result in improved performances and outcomes.


Ms. Gonzales has extensive experience writing successful corporate and foundation grants, as well as state and federal government grants. Nita brings an open, creative mind and unique, dynamic ideas to each nonprofit partner she works with.


With a wide, rich variety of hands-on fundraising and nonprofit management experience, Nita honed her skills with several nonprofits in the Metro Denver area. Nita discovers how each nonprofit’s mission can be best carried out. She gleans a deep understanding of what needs to happen—and how—for an organization to reach its full potential. What sets her apart from many consultants is that she doesn’t simply create a plan for organizations to follow—she works with each client until the necessary work is being successfully implemented.


Ms. Gonzales received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters in Education from Antioch University, Yellow Springs. Ohio.
