2025 U-CAN SUMMER YOUTH ECO CAMP

This outdoor adventure immersion will be an extraordinary experience for all students to witness and understand climate change impact, environmental justice, and resilience. Students will engage in educational, arts, environmental and recreational activities.
Americas for Conservation + the Arts (AFC+A), in partnership with the Boy Scout Puerto Rico Council, are looking forward to hosting young leaders to participate in the Promotores Verdes youth camp (United Cultures for Art + Nature U-CAN) this summer 2025 in “Campamento Guajataka” on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.

STUDENTS GRADES: 8th - 12th
We are excited to invite our partners, education and conservation organizations, and the community at large to submit nominations of future leaders in your organizations and communities. Nominees should be students interested in natural sciences, arts and the outdoors.
The U-CAN scholarship covers all of the program costs including; your transportation (inside the Country and/or State, no more than 50 miles distance) to and from one of the designated pick-up spots, and your lodging and meals during your stay. In this Congress, students will experience an innovative curriculum joining studies in the principles of environmental stewardship with the development of creative skills in verbal, visual, and sound arts and their application to social change.
